Did you know that June 8th is World Oceans Day? The first World Oceans Day was celebrated in 1992. It’s a day to learn about, honor, protect, and help conserve our oceans. The oceans provide food, transportation, recreation, beauty, oxygen we breathe, and much more. The oceans affect our climate and have a huge part in the water cycle. The theme of 2015 – 2016 is “Healthy oceans, healthy planet”. What can you do to help improve the health of our oceans?
We hope that you remember to explore, rescue, and protect at school today. Remember to think kind thoughts, use kind words, and do kind things. We Love You.
The Octonauts are supporters of World Oceans Day.
