Did you know that the poem “The Raven”, written by Edgar Allen Poe, was published in 1845? The poem starts with, “Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered weak and weary,” and tells the story of a talking raven’s mysterious and slightly eerie visit to an upset and troubled man. Throughout the poem, the raven repeats the word, “Nevermore”, slowly driving the man mad. The poem was very popular and was reprinted and imitated. It remains one of the most famous poems ever written.

We hope that you have a poetic day at school. Remember to think kind thoughts, use kind words and do kind things. We Love You.
