Did you know that the Grand Canyon National Monument was created in 1908? In 1919 it was turned into a national park. The Grand Canyon is located in Arizona. It is 277 miles long. The widest point is 18 miles wide and the deepest point is 6,093 feet (more than a mile!). The Grand Canyon was created by erosion. Erosion is the process of wearing something down. Scientists think the Colorado River started carving out the canyon, about 17 million years ago.

We hope that you have a determined day at school! Remember to think kind thoughts, use kind words, and do kind things. We Love You.
