Did you know that the first ‘human flight’ was made by Jacques-Etienne Montgolfier in 1783? The trip was made in a hot air balloon designed by Jacques-Etienne and his brother Joseph-Michael. Joseph-Michael came up with the idea of a ‘hot air balloon’ from watching the way cloth and ash behaved over fire. Their first experimental balloon was 3 feet wide and made from thin wood and cloth. The balloon that Jacques-Etienne rode in for the first flight was 50 feet wide and made of a thick rough cloth and three thin layers of paper. He was able to fly 80 feet in the air.
We hope that you have a great day of discovery. Remember to do kind things, use kind words, and do kind things. We Love You.
