Did you know that in 1835 Charles Darwin reached the Galapagos Islands?  He did not discover the islands, but did study the plants and animals he saw there.  The Galapagos Islands are located near South America around the equator.  The islands are home to many unique animals such as the Galapagos tortoise (the largest kind of tortoise in the world), the world’s only marine iguanas, Galapagos penguin (the only type of penguin that lives in tropical waters).

We hope that you have a great day of discovery at school.  Remember to think kind thoughts, use kind words, and do kind things.  We Love You.
