Did you know that on May 21, 1932, Amelia Earhart became the first woman to fly across the Atlantic Ocean on her own?  Her flight started from Newfoundland, Canada, and lasted 14 hours and 56 minutes.  She was trying to reach Paris, France, but bad weather and mechanical problems forced her to land in Northern Ireland instead.  Amelia Earhart completed many other record-breaking flights; wrote about her flying; and encouraged others, especially women, to be interested in aviation.  Sadly, Amelia Earhart, Fred Noonan (her navigator), and her airplane disappeared over the Pacific Ocean while trying to complete a 29,000 mile journey to fly all the way around the world.  To this day, no one knows exactly what happened to Amelia Earhart.

We hope you have a record-breaking day.  Remember to think kind thoughts, use kind words and do kind things.  We Love You.
