Did you know that the date for “Star Wars Day” comes from a pun?  One of the popular sayings in the Star Wars movies is “May the Force be with you”, which lead to the phrase, “May the 4th be with you”.  Another related pun comes with the Star Wars movie title “Revenge of the Sith”.  Some people say “Revenge of the 5th” and on May 5th, celebrate the villains and anti-heroes of Star Wars.

Puns are a way of playing with words, to make a small joke or funny phrase.  Usually the words in a pun sound the same (Force and fourth) or sometimes they use words that have more than one meaning.

We hope that you have a punny day!  Remember to think kind thoughts, use kind words, and do kind things.  We Love You.

Bonus Pun:

A: Because you can eat the sand which is on it.
