Did you know that today is National Weatherperson’s Day? National Weatherperson’s Day celebrates meteorologists (who study the Earth’s atmosphere and how weather ‘works’), weather forecasters (who use atmospheric data to make predictions, or weather forecasts, about what the weather will be like in the next few days), and weather reporters or ‘broadcast meteorologists’ that talk about weather on news programs.
It is also John Jeffries’ birthday; he was one of the first weather observers in the United States. Starting in 1774, he recorded information about the weather, such as temperature, every day until he moved from Boston to England.
We hope that you have a cheerful day at school. Remember to use kind words, do kind things, and think kind thoughts. We Love You.
