Did you know that the Apple Machintosh computer was introduced today in 1984?  The Macintosh computer (also known as ‘Mac’), was one of the first personal computers that came with a graphical user interface (GUI) and a computer mouse.

When you use the computer mouse to click on a picture (icon) to open a program, you are using the graphical user interface.  Before this, there were no pictures on the computer screen (which is why computers did not come with a mouse).  You had to know and type the specific command words and phrases to be able to open and use programs.  Now, all personal computers are controlled using icons.  Some computers don’t even have a mouse anymore.  They have touchscreens.

We hope that you have a remarkably good day.  Remember to use kind words, do kind things, and think kind thoughts.  We Love You.
