Did you know that the winter solstice in the northern hemisphere where we live, happens between December 21st and 22nd? The winter solstice marks the shortest day and the longest night of the year. From now until June, the amount of ‘day time’ in one day will increase and the amount of ‘night time’ will decrease. In June, we have the summer solstice, which is the longest day of the year and the shortest night.
Here’s another interesting fact, in the southern hemisphere, in places like Australia, the winter solstice happens in June and the summer solstice happens in December!
We hope that you have an encouraging day today. Remember to be kind, friendly and helpful. We Love You.
