Did you know that NASA is launching the first flight test of the Orion spacecraft today?  The Delta IV rocket carrying Orion will blast off from Cape Canaveral in Florida.  During the test flight (which will last about 5 hours), the Orion will travel about 3600 miles above the earth (even higher than the International Space Station!) and orbit the earth twice before splashing down in the Pacific Ocean near California.

The data gathered during this mission will help scientists and engineers design better rockets and spacecraft that will take future astronauts to places like Mars!

We hope that you have an extraordinary day!  Remember to be kind.  We love you.
